Frank Martin / Adolf Brunner

Messe pour double choeur a cappella

Description

"Except for the Agnus Dei, which was written in 1926, this Mass was composed in 1922. (...) It seemed to me that the expression of religious feelings ought to remain hidden, and had nothing to do with public opinion. So this score lay in a desk drawer for forty years..." (Frank Martin). Adolf Brunner wrote his Christmas Gospel after St Luke in 1963. This recording has been made in 1999 in the monastery of Ilanz.
